About Us
I take my farm seriously, and I'm privileged to be working some of the most fertile land you could ask for in Oklahoma. Rich sandy loam along the Canadian River bottom — it produces some of the best-tasting watermelons, tomatoes, and cantaloupes you can imagine. We also grow okra, sweet onions, and a rotating mix of other crops, but quality is always the main thing.
We're a working 60-acre operation with a long-term goal of 500 acres. The plan is to rotate specialty crops and commodity crops as we expand across this good rich bottom ground. We're currently going through some changes — adding new crops and phasing out others — but the focus stays the same.
We practice sustainable, regenerative farming because if you don't take care of the soil, the soil won't be there to take care of you. We are not organic certified, and we're not trying to be — but we believe in taking care of the earth and it will take care of you.
This is not a hobby farm. This is not a retirement project. I didn't come from a fancy career — farming is all I've ever done and all I've ever wanted to do. I've worked odd jobs over the years and tried to walk away from it once. Didn't take. I always ended up back on the farm. My grandfather planted the seed in my mind when I was very young that I was going to be a farmer, and he wasn't wrong.
Not every day is perfect. Not every crop comes out the way you planned. Sometimes you wish you'd planted more; sometimes you get stuck with what you planted. That's real farming. It has its ups and downs, but it's all I know — and I wouldn't trade it.
